About this car
This 1985 190D is offered on eBay by grautogallery in Plainfield, IN. The asking price is $10,110. The car is finished in Red over Tan, an automatic gearbox, power from a 2.2L Diesel I4 engine. The odometer shows 116,757 miles. On a 190, check the rear suspension links and look for rust in the jacking points and around the rear subframe mounts.
What the photos show
- Red paint is glossy overall, so no full respray is needed on what is shown
- Clearcoat is peeling and bubbling in a strip along the roof rain gutter, so budget for a local roof-edge paint repair before it spreads
- Tan seats and door cards look very clean with no tears showing, so no retrim bill is visible
- Dashboard top is hidden under a carpet cover in every interior shot, so can't judge the dash top — ask what is under the cover
- Engine bay is dusty but complete and orderly, so budget for a clean and service rather than repairs on what is shown
- No underside photos appear in the sampled photos, so can't judge the underside at all
Money: at $10,110 the clean interior and glossy paint support the price — the gutter clearcoat peel is a contained repair, but the hidden dash and unseen underside are open risks
