About this car
This 1989 300SE is offered on eBay by beverlyhillscarclub in Los Angeles, CA. The asking price is $7,950. The car is finished in Petrol Blue-Green Metallic, an automatic gearbox, power from a 3.0L Gas I6 engine. The listing does not state a mileage. On a W126, check for rust around the rear window and in the battery tray, and test the vacuum-operated door locks and the climate controls.
What the photos show
- trunk badge reads 300 SE and the stock number and plate match the Hemmings listing of this car, so it is one physical car listed twice
- teal paint looks glossy with bright chrome wheel-arch trim, no repaint money needed on looks
- tan front leather is heavily cracked, the driver cushion split across, so reupholstery money is unavoidable
- driver footwell carpet is dark-stained, budget carpet cleaning or replacement
- odometer reads 103,052 miles, so the seat wear is condition spend, not mileage spend
- rear door card and wood trim look intact, no rear trim money needed
- engine bay looks dirty with surface rust on the manifold, budget a detail and age-related spend
- underside looks dirty but shows no rust-through in the sampled shots, no floor money obvious
Money: at $7,950 this is the same car as the Hemmings listing at the same price - glossy outside, but the cracked front seats are the spend to price in.
