About this car
This 1980 450SLC is offered on eBay by dc19661 in San Antonio, TX. The asking price is $24,950. The car is finished in Gold over Tan, an automatic gearbox, power from a 4.5L engine. The odometer shows 102,400 miles. On an SLC, check the front subframe mounts and the rear side-window seals, which are difficult to replace.
What the photos show
- Gold paint looks glossy and straight all round, no repaint needed on what is shown.
- Chrome bumpers look bright at the rear but the front bumper shows pitting in the close front shot, small chrome money may be needed.
- Tan leather seats look excellent front and rear, no need to reupholster.
- Dash, wood and the Becker radio look clean and complete, no dash spend showing.
- Rear seat and headliner look clean and tight, no interior sagging to pay for.
- Trunk carpet looks clean, no trunk repair showing.
- Engine bay looks complete and honest, with surface rust on the front crossmember area, check it rather than ignore it.
- Wheels and tyres look presentable, no immediate spend showing.
- Underside is not shown in the sampled photos, so I can't judge the floors from these pictures.
Money: At $24,950 the interior and paint carry this SLC — if the front-bumper pitting and crossmember rust are only surface, it looks like fair money for a coupe.
