What the photos show
- The photos show a 1930s-style neoclassic replica, not a 1936 car - the cabin is a modern Corvette-style dash and wheel, so no money here buys a real pre-war Mercedes.
- Two-tone brown and gold paint is glossy, no repaint needed on the replica body.
- Chrome grille, headlights and wire wheels shine bright, no re-chroming bill.
- Tan seats are creased and cracked in the console close-up, so budget leather repair or reupholstery.
- Carpets are stained and dirty, so budget a full interior detail at minimum.
- The engine bay shows a modern V8 with a chrome air cleaner and a corroded brake booster, dusty and used looking, so budget mechanical sorting.
- Can't judge the underside from these photos, so the chassis question stays open.
Money: at $49,500 this only makes sense priced as a replica driver - as a 1936 500K it is not the car in the photos at all.
