Hemmings listing in College Point, NY. Offered on Hemmings in College Point, NY.
What the photos show
- sea-green paint is glossy and even on every panel, no paint money needed
- chrome grille, bumpers and landau irons shine bright, no re-chroming bill coming
- black top fits tight up, and folds away neatly, no top money needed
- tan leather seats look fresh with no wear showing, no reupholster needed
- dash wood and gauges look rich and clean, no dash bill coming
- engine bay is tidy and painted body color with an honest, complete six, no detailing money needed
- trunk is clean and lined with the spare well tidy, no trunk work to budget
- two of the sampled photos are the dealer's 'we buy classic Mercedes SL' ad graphic, not this car, so the gallery is padded — the car photos themselves are what carry the value
- the exhaust tip looks like a modern add-on, small money to put right if it bothers you
- underside is never shown in the photos, can't judge it, so a lift check is still on you
Money: at $134,950 the green cabriolet itself looks fully restored and fairly priced — just don't let an ad-padded gallery count as extra proof.
