What the photos show
- The rear badge in the photos reads 250 SL, not 230SL as titled, stock #20199, so verify the car's true identity and engine before paying any Pagoda money.
- Red paint is glossy at a distance, but the grille star is missing entirely, leaving an empty ring, so budget for the correct star and grille parts.
- Rust bubbles show at the base of the hardtop's rear pillar and inside the front wheel arch, so body repair money is needed behind the shiny paint.
- The tan seats look decent with light creasing, but the carpets throughout are dirty and stained, so allow for a full carpet clean or replacement.
- The dash-top trim is peeling and rusty-looking and the trunk lip is rust-stained over a black-painted trunk floor, so trim and trunk work are costs to add.
- The engine bay is the worst area: the inner wing and firewall paint is peeling away in large mottled patches and the brake reservoir is rust-stained, so a full bay strip and repaint is on the bill.
- Can't judge the soft top — it is not shown in the sampled photos, only the hardtop and the open car, so top cost is unknown.
- Can't judge the underside — it is not shown in the sampled photos, so floor rust remains a major open cost risk on a Pagoda.
Money: At $32,500 this is cheap Pagoda money, but the photos show why — a badge that contradicts the title, a missing grille star, bubbling at the hardtop base and a peeling, mottled engine bay — so budget for identity checks and body and bay work on top of the ask.
