About this car
1972 350SL at Autosport Designs in Huntington Station, NY. The dealer's own page marks this car sold — it stays listed under the SOLD banner for reference and is left out of the price averages. Harvested from the dealer's own website on Nov 2, 2026 — confirm availability at the source before travelling.
What the photos show
- dark brown paint is glossy and even in every shot, no paintwork needed
- shown three ways — top down, hardtop on and soft top up — and the black soft top looks clean and tight, no top replacement bill visible
- chrome bumpers, grille and wheel-arch trims shine bright, no replating cost
- tan seats seen in the open car look clean and uncreased, no retrim needed on what shows
- bundt wheels are clean and complete, no refurb bill
- can't judge the dash and wood up close, they are never shown in detail, so interior finish stays open
- can't judge the engine bay, it is not shown, so mechanicals are unverified
- can't judge the underside, it is not shown, so rust stays an open question
Money: no sold price is on file, so value rests on visible condition — a glossy, complete early SL with all three top configurations shown supports strong money, with only the unseen engine and underside as the reserve.
