What the photos show
- The photos are watermarked stock #19534, but the listing itself is stock 18555, so confirm the car in the pictures is the car for sale before paying anything
- The hood paint is peeling off in big patches down to pink primer, a full repaint is unavoidable money
- The rest of the gold paint is flat and faded, polishing will not save it
- Both door cards are missing completely, leaving bare metal doors inside, so interior trim money is certain
- The grey seats look clean and recently retrimmed, no seat money needed
- The center dash is open with wiring hanging out, electrical sorting money belongs in the budget
- Rust shows at the driver's sill and door jamb, that is repair money, not cleaning
- The hardtop is present but its paint is as faded as the body, more repaint money
- The engine bay looks complete and original, dusty but with nothing obviously missing, no parts hunt showing
- Underneath, the exhaust is heavily rusted while the floors look solid, so budget an exhaust before structural work
- The trunk well is black-painted with rust at the edges and no spare, small money but it adds up
- The soft top itself is never shown raised, so I can't judge the soft top — price it as unknown
- The last two gallery files are LinkedIn and Pinterest share pages, not photos, so the 48-file gallery is really 46
Money: at $4,950 this is project money for a 450SL needing paint, door cards and sill work — fair only as a project, and only once the stock-number mismatch is explained.
