What the photos show
- Only one photo is in the gallery, a single side view, so most of this car can't be judged from photos alone and that limits what the price can be checked against
- The blue paint is dull, dusty and scratched along the door, so budget for a full detail at best and paint work at worst
- The white convertible top looks dirty and aged in this shot, so allow money for cleaning or replacing it
- The front bumper looks bent and tarnished and the whitewalls look old, so chrome and tyre costs are likely on top of the price
- I can't judge the interior, dash, engine bay or underside from this one photo, so none of those costs can be ruled out
Money: At $77,500 sold, the one dusty, worn-looking side photo does not show a finished car — the buyer was paying for the rare 1951 220 cabriolet itself, with restoration costs still to come.
