What the photos show
- only one photo is in the gallery, a single side view with the top down, so most of this 3.5 Cabriolet is never shown
- cream paint looks glossy and straight with bright wheel-arch chrome in that shot, no bodywork is visible from this side
- chrome bumpers, mirrors and body-colour hubcaps with whitewalls look clean, no chrome spend is suggested by this view
- the top is folded under a tan boot, so you cannot judge the top fabric, fit or seals, and the tan interior is only glimpsed
- dash in detail, engine bay - critical on a 3.5 - and underside are not shown, so you cannot judge wood, the V8 bay or rust from the photos
Money: at $109,900 sold, that is strong money for a 280SE 3.5 shown in just one photo - the unseen engine bay, top and underside were where the value had to be proved.
