About this car
1956 300SL Gullwing at Gullwing Motor Cars in Astoria, NY. The dealer's own page marks this car sold — it stays listed under the SOLD banner for reference and is left out of the price averages. Harvested from the dealer's own website on Nov 2, 2026 — confirm availability at the source before travelling.
What the photos show
- cream paint is dirty, flat and peeling on the boot lid, a full repaint is unavoidable
- body panels look complete and the car sits whole, that saves hunting rare Gullwing parts
- chrome looks dull and aged, budget to restore it with the paint
- plaid cloth seats look intact but tired and dirty, a proper retrim is likely
- engine bay is complete with its intake in place but dusty and aged, expect a full recommission bill
- can't judge the underside, it is never shown and on a car this stored that is a major unknown
Money: no sold price is on file, so value is in completeness as a restoration base, not in condition, and the repaint and recommission bills are large.
