About this car
Hemmings listing in Astoria, NY. Offered on Hemmings in Astoria, NY.
What the photos show
- white and blue paint is burned off and patchy with heavy orange rust across both front fenders, the grille surround and the sills, so full metal work and a repaint are unavoidable
- the headlights are missing in one front photo and fitted in another, so the gallery mixes photos from different moments and trim completeness can't be trusted from the photos alone
- bumpers and grille are rust-pitted and dull, so re-chroming or replacement money is due
- the folded top is a collapsed bundle of torn canvas and exposed frame, so a complete new top and frame work are certain costs
- the blue front seat looks dusty and worn but not split open in the one interior photo, so it is the one panel that might clean up instead of needing a retrim
- the engine bay is rusty, dirty and tangled with loose wiring, so budget for a full engine recommission at best
- only five photos are in the gallery and no underside or rear photo is shown, so the chassis and the back of the car can't be judged from the photos
Money: at $67,500 the photos show a rusty, collapsed-top project with only five pictures to sell it, so the price is all hope and no allowance for the restoration it clearly needs.
