About this car
Hemmings listing in Boca Raton, FL. Signal Red with new Palomino leather, one owner, clean Carfax, new paint and soft top; just serviced with new Pirelli tires, Bilsteins and full tune-up.
What the photos show
- the bright red paint looks glossy and even in every photo with no damage showing, so no paint money needed
- the tan leather seats look excellent, with tight pleats and no cracking or wear showing, so no retrim cost
- the door cards look clean and unmarked, so no trim spend
- the dashboard looks uncracked and the burl wood looks glossy, so no dash or wood bill
- the engine bay looks very tidy and original with clean reservoirs, so no bay spend
- there are aftermarket speaker pods sitting in the rear compartment, so allow a small cost to remove them if you want it stock
- can't judge the soft top — it is down in every photo I viewed, so its fabric and window are unverified
- can't judge the underside — no underside photos in the set I viewed, so a lift inspection is still money well spent
Money: at $43,900 the photos show a car needing nothing but the speaker pods removed; the unseen top and underside are the only risks to price in.
