What the photos show
- Bright red paint looks glossy and straight, no repaint needed on what is shown.
- Chrome wheel-arch trim and Bundt wheels look bright, no chrome bill is visible.
- Cream check-cloth seats look clean and untorn, no need to reupholster.
- Dash looks tidy, but the steering wheel is an aftermarket wood wheel, so purists should budget for a stock wheel.
- The gearbox is a manual with a simple lever in the console shots, which suits this Euro 280SL.
- Beige soft top is shown up and looks serviceable, and the red hardtop is also shown fitted, so both tops appear to be present.
- Engine bay is only seen from the front with the hood up and looks untidy around the radiator, so budget a detail and a closer inspection.
- No underside is shown in the sampled photos, so I can't judge rust underneath — ask for lift shots.
Money: At $24,500 the red paint, cloth trim and manual box present well, so the ask looks reasonable if the unseen underside is as clean as the top side.
