About this car
1972 350SL at Daniel Schmitt & Co. in St. Louis, MO. 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL ROADSTER in Saint Louis, MO | Daniel Schmitt & Co. The dealer's own page marks this car sold — it stays listed under the SOLD banner for reference and is left out of the price averages. Harvested from the dealer's own website on Nov 2, 2026 — confirm availability at the source before travelling.
What the photos show
- Silver paint is glossy and even with straight panels and silver hubcaps, no repaint needed on what is shown
- Chrome bumpers and trim are bright, no rechroming cost visible
- Dark blue soft top is shown up and looks taut, but the hardtop is not shown in the sampled photos, so I cannot judge whether a hardtop comes with it or its condition
- Blue leather seats look smooth and well kept, no need to reupholster
- Dash is only glimpsed behind the seats in the sampled photos, so I cannot judge cracks or gauges - a dash repair could still hide there
- Engine bay is tidy and original-looking, no major detail cost shown
- Trunk is clean and black with a mat in place, no trunk rust repair visible
- Underside floors look solid and coated on the lift, while the exhaust and center muffler show surface rust, so budget exhaust work later
Money: With no price listed, the glossy silver paint and excellent blue interior support a strong sold price - the rusty-looking exhaust is the main visible future spend.
