Privacy Policy
Effective November 4, 2026
Classic-DE (classic-de.com) is operated by ECET Inc (“we”, “us” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this website, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Analytics information. We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-1RQY7C1P3Z) on every page of this site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about how visitors use the site, including the pages visited, the time spent on pages, approximate location (derived from your IP address), and device and browser information. We use these reports to understand which listings and guides are useful and to improve the site.
Email alert subscriptions. Our email alert service is launching shortly, and this policy is published ahead of it. When a visitor subscribes to email alerts, we store the email address they provide and the filter criteria they choose — series, model, color, transmission, price range and state. We use that information only to send the listing alerts the subscriber asked for. Every alert email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes the subscription. We never sell or rent our subscriber list.
Information you send us. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, and we use them to reply to you.
Hosting and security information. This site is served and protected through Cloudflare, our hosting and content-delivery provider. As part of delivering and securing the site, Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request logs (such as the pages requested, the time of the request and the browser used) on our behalf.
Listing information. The vehicle listings shown on this site consist of sellers’ public listing information, gathered from dealerships, marketplaces and auction sites. We do not collect this information from visitors, and it is shown so that visitors can find and contact the seller.
Cookies and opting out of analytics
The cookies used on this site are set by Google Analytics, by Cloudflare for security and delivery purposes, and — if you register and sign in — a session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; the site will still work, although some preferences may not be remembered. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available from Google at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also use your browser’s private or “do not track” settings to limit tracking.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain and secure this website.
- To send email listing alerts to subscribers who have asked for them.
- To understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- To respond to messages and requests sent to us.
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights.
How information is shared
We share information only with the service providers that run this site for us — Google (analytics), Cloudflare (hosting, delivery and security) and, for subscribers, the provider that delivers our alert emails. These providers process information on our behalf and for the purposes described here. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ECET Inc, our visitors or others. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Accounts and comments
Accounts. You may register for an account with your email address and a display name. Accounts exist so that visitors can comment on listings. There are no passwords: to register or sign in, we email you a link, and opening it signs you in. While you are signed in, we set a session cookie so the site remembers you; a session lasts up to 30 days. We store your email address, your display name, and the fact that your account is active. We use this information only to run your account and show your display name beside your comments.
Comments. When you post a comment, we store the comment text, the listing page it belongs to, the date and time, and your display name, and the comment is shown publicly under that display name. If you flag another reader’s comment for review, we record that you flagged it; flag counts are not shown publicly. Comments that are removed for breaking our rules may be retained in our moderation records.
Payments. This site takes no payments, and we never ask for payment card details.
Deleting your account. Email us at [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will delete your account and email address; comments you posted are removed or anonymised unless we need to keep a moderation record.
How long we keep information
We keep an alert subscription for as long as it is active; it is deleted when the subscriber unsubscribes or asks us to delete it. We keep account details (email address and display name) for as long as the account is active; when you ask us to delete your account, we delete them, and comments are removed or anonymised as described above. Sign-in links expire after 24 hours and sessions after 30 days. Email messages sent to us are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry. Analytics data and hosting logs are retained by Google and Cloudflare under their own retention policies.
Your rights and choices
You may contact us at any time to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. In practice, the personal data we hold is limited to alert subscriptions, account details and comments, and any emails you have sent us. To make a request, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law, and we will honour them. Alert subscribers can stop emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any alert email.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
