These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Classic-DE (classic-de.com), operated by ECET Inc (“we”, “us” or “our”). By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this site is
Classic-DE is an independent listing guide. We gather classic car listings that sellers have published elsewhere — at dealerships, on marketplaces and on auction sites — and present them in one searchable place, with our own summaries, commentary and buyer’s guides, and with a link back to the original listing for every car.
We are not the seller
We are not the seller of any vehicle shown on this site, and we do not own, inspect, represent or warrant any listed vehicle. Any purchase is a transaction solely between you and the seller named in the original listing. We are not a party to that transaction, and questions about a car — its condition, title, price or availability — should be directed to the seller.
Listing information is a guide only
All listing information on this site — including price, mileage, condition, specification and availability — comes from third-party sources and is provided as a guide only. It is not guaranteed. Listings may be inaccurate, out of date, withdrawn or sold, and prices may change, without notice. You must verify every detail that matters to you directly with the seller before making a purchase. Our price comparisons, summaries and photo notes are our own commentary based on the listing material and on data we have collected; they are general information, not an appraisal, an inspection report or advice about any particular car.
Trademarks and no affiliation
Mercedes-Benz and all Mercedes-Benz model names are trademarks of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. The BMW name and model names are trademarks belonging to their respective owners, and the Porsche name and model names are trademarks belonging to their respective owners. This site also covers BMW and Porsche cars. Classic-DE is an independent website and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Mercedes-Benz Group AG, BMW or Porsche, or by any dealer, marketplace or auction site whose listings appear here.
Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. The content we create for this site — including our commentary, photo notes, buyer’s guides, text, design and the selection and arrangement of listings — belongs to ECET Inc or its licensors and may not be copied or reused commercially without our permission. Listing photographs belong to their respective owners (the sellers and sites that published them) and are shown here to illustrate the linked listings. You may browse this site and share links to its pages for personal, non-commercial use.
Acceptable use
- Do not use this site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that harms the site, its providers or other visitors.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems, or interfere with its operation or security.
- Do not use automated means to scrape, harvest or copy a substantial part of the site, or to collect email addresses or other personal data from it.
- Do not present this site, or your own goods or services, as affiliated with or endorsed by us or by any vehicle manufacturer.
Comments and user content
Registered users may post comments on listing pages. A comment is the view of the person who posted it, not of ECET Inc, and we do not endorse comments. Comments appear on the site immediately, exactly as posted; they are not reviewed before they appear.
By posting a comment you confirm that it is your own work, that you have the right to publish it, and that it complies with these Terms and with the rules shown beside the comment box — including: no links, phone numbers or email addresses in comments, and nothing unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, misleading, or that contains another person’s personal data. You are responsible for your comments. You grant ECET Inc a royalty-free, worldwide licence to display your comments on this site.
Readers can flag a comment as non-constructive, which sends it to us for review; a comment flagged by several readers may be hidden automatically until it is reviewed. We review flagged and newly posted comments regularly, and we may remove any comment at any time, at our discretion and with or without notice — in particular spam, scams, personal attacks, and unverified accusations presented as fact. Review decisions are final.
We may suspend or close the account of any user who misuses the comments or breaches these Terms. Because sign-in works through links sent to your email address, you are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure and for all activity under your account.
No warranties
This site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ECET Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of this site or your reliance on any listing, including any loss arising from a vehicle purchase, a seller’s acts or omissions, or the content of a third-party site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify ECET Inc against claims, losses and expenses arising from your misuse of this site or your breach of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms on this page and change the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in full effect.
